What do you do with a body in the woods, and only minutes before the big game? Carl and Franz are all ready to get off work and go and watch the big match against Austria when they make an unwelcome discovery. So, deal with it, or make it someone else’s problem? Written and directed by German director Peter Baumann, BORDER PATROL is a succinct dark comedy with a sharp dose of horror for good measure. Set in the beautiful alpine woodland of Bavaria, it’s a paean to all that’s banal about that unique rustic world, and a satisfying comedy of power politics between its two protagonists.
