There are no movie theatres in Dharamshala. A number of tiny video parlours show pirated films, usually the latest Hollywood or Bollywood offerings. In the absence of a dedicated cinema, the main festival venue will be the Tibetan Children’s Village School in Dharamsala Cantt. ‒ a pleasant 15-minute drive or 30-minute walk from McLeod Ganj. The festival’s regular venue at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts is undergoing major renovations until 2018.
