Naayo, the director’s diploma film is based on a poem that shows the plight of a lonely woman who hides her pain and serves her family. The woman in the poem is a symbol of all females, a symbol of earth that is strong and bears everything. “Naayo”, means woman or mother in Santhali. This poem is based on Santhal women and their tragic journeys, but at the end of the film they are celebrating life.
Saheb Ram Tudu
Saheb Ram Tudu did his BFA and MFA in sculpture from Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Uttar Pradesh. He is a student of Animation Film Design at the National Institute of design (NID), Ahmedabad. He loves to write poetry and stories, illustrate, paint murals and sculpt.
