It’s the end of the day on a Swiss train. Yalini, a Tamil-Swiss woman, receives a call from her parents. As the conversation becomes sensitive and tense, one of the passengers approaches her and expresses annoyance that she’s speaking too loudly. On that train journey, Yalini faces two worlds that do not understand her.
Keerthigan Sivakumar
Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Keerthigan Sivakumar has studied and lived in Switzerland since 2009. His film, Doosra (2022, received awards at the Solothurn Film Festival as well as Premiers Plans d’Angers (2022) and was nominated for the Swiss Film Awards in 2022. He is currently developing his first feature documentary project.
