The last boy of the Jaunsari people, living in the remnants of his flooded village, recalls a time when gods roamed the mountains, labourers turned into lizards, and the land pulsed with magic.

Yashasvi is a self-taught filmmaker and screenwriter from Uttarakhand, India. His short The Last Rhododendron won the Gender Sensitivity Award at DIFF (2021) and screened at MIFF (2022). In 2023, he was a Netflix Take Ten finalist, where he developed his debut feature The Ink-Stained Hand and the Missing Thumb. Rains Don’t Make Us Happy Anymore premiered at Visions du Réel (2025).
