Members of the problematic family – a widowed mother, an impatient uncle, an ailing grandfather, a detached aunt, and a well-sorted cousin – stumble through grief, guilt, memory, and yearning over the death of the alcoholic son, each confronting the pendulum of void and solace left by the unfinished life. Across four sketchy and incomplete chapters, their lives drift between suburban waters and highway uproars.
