Home is an animated chronicle based on the lucid memories of the filmmaker’s 90 year-old-mother, Sheela Sabnani, who remembers and misses her two homes, her two fathers, her sewing machine, and the radio that were separated after the partition of India in 1947.
Nina Sabnani
Nina Sabnani is an acclaimed animator known for her collaborations with artists and folk storytellers. Her film, We Make Images, with Sher Singh Bhil won the National Award in 2016, and she received the Legend of Indian Animation Award in 2021. A former professor at NID Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay, she now teaches at Srishti Manipal and UPES.
