In Mumbai’s Bhavani Nagar slum, domestic worker Vimal and her daughter Sonali reflect on education and ambition. Vimal never attended school and hoped Sonali would secure an office job, but Sonali was diagnosed as a “slow learner.” The film portrays their bond with work, learning, and each other.
