Shubham Sumit, a filmmaker from Bihar, India, draws inspiration from the hinterland, where quiet yet profound lives unfold. An IIT Bombay alumnus, now at FTII Pune, he began by writing and directing plays and stories, honing a voice of authenticity and depth. For him, cinema preserves memory and amplifies unheard voices, revealing tenderness, resilience and poetry in everyday life.
