In a remote, rustic mid-90s village in Tamil Nadu, a city-educated young man feels awkward because his mother is blouseless. This is how she has always dressed. But as he tries to find a solution before his prospective in-laws arrive, a simple problem spirals out of control.

Vipin Radhakrishnan is a filmmaker with over 12 years of experience in the film industry. An architect turned storyteller, he began his career as a screenwriter with the critically acclaimed Malayalam feature, Mosayile Kuthirameenukal (2014), starring Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, and Swathi Reddy. The film earned recognition for its inventive narrative and lyrical writing, establishing Vipin as a bold new voice in Malayalam cinema. As a writer-director, he made his feature debut with Ave Maria (2018), which premiered at the International Film Festival of Kerala and went on to travel widely across international festivals. Angammal is his second feature film.
