His first feature film Khosla Ka Ghosla was a sleeper hit redefining the genre of independent cinema in India and creating a new trend and many followers and imitators. Dibakar won his second national award for Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! as the Best Popular Film in 2009.
Love Sex aur Dhokha, his third film, was the first commercially successful, breakthrough digital film in India. Considered as seminal work in Indian cinema, LSD released in March 2010. Since then it has been screened at the Munich Film Festival, London Indian Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and at the Engendered’s Film Festival, I-view in the year of 2010.
Shanghai a contemporary political thriller is his fourth film released on June 8th 2012. It has released in India to some of the best reviews that any Indian film has received in the past decade with many hailing it as his best so far.
