Bikas Ranjan Mishra is a writer/director and film critic based in Mumbai. He holds a masters degree in Mass Communication from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi where he specialized in scriptwriting and direction. He is founder/editor of Indian portal on independent films DearCinema.com.
Bikas has served on the selection committees of the Mumbai Film Festival and the Third Eyes Asian Film Festival, Mumbai. He has been on the the International Critics’ Jury of the 15th International Film Festival of Kerala.
Bikas’ short film Dance of Ganesha had its world premiere at the 16th Busan International Film Festival 2011 and an Indian premiere at the 10th Third Eye Asian Film Festival.
Bikas is currently working on his first feature film Chauranga, which is being produced by Mumbai-based producers Anticlock Films, run by acclaimed director Onir and actor/producer Sanjay Suri.
