Last Night I Dreamed It Was Raining Fish

Poster - Last Night I Dreamed It Was Raining Fish

The voice of an old fisherwoman recounts the story of Mumbai’s Kolis, weaving history, myth and contemporary life. Poetic imagery captures their everyday existence, from local deities and lunar cycles to grey skies and choked rivers. This ethnographic meditation explores the Kolis’ enduring connection to land and sea, and their resilience amid the city’s relentless transformation.
