On a war-torn evening, young Vendan watches his parents’ bitter fight at his grandmother’s home. His mother, weary of neglect, resolves to leave and his father’s threats force her to escape alone into the night. The next morning, Vendan searches for clues of their mother’s fate – shattered glass, bicycle tracks or a body.Â
Jacob Luke JeroshanÂ
Jacob Luke Jeroshan is a filmmaker and ad director from Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. A graduate of NAFA, Singapore and the Busan Asian Film School, he explores personal narratives rooted in Sri Lanka’s culture. His short film, Osmodeus (2018), won international recognition, while his debut feature, Salted Popcorn (2022), premiered at the Jaffna International Cinema Festival and had a theatrical release in 2024.
