In a small village in Maharashtra, a young Banjara girl is inspired by movies to become a kabaddi player. But as her school years come to an end, she is pushed towards marriage like generations of women before her. A district-level tournament then becomes her last chance to change her future.

Amoli Birewar is a filmmaker from Mumbai. She has worked on a range of non-fiction projects for organizations like National Geographic and the United Nations. Her debut short documentary, Bali, was supported by PSBT and has been selected at premier festivals around the world. Her films are intimate, quietly political, and with a touch of humour.
