Lakshmipriya Devi

Lakshmipriya Devi always wanted to tell stories, but chose never to make a film if the story did not come from within. That story organically emerged while seeking closure from an uncomfortable part of her childhood in Manipur. A graduate in Economics (Honours) and a postgraduate in Mass Communications, she worked as First Assistant Director in landmark Indian productions, including, Luck by Chance, Talaash, PK and A Suitable Boy. Boong – a bitter-sweet memory of her home, Manipur, is her directorial debut.
