On one of the last days before the school holidays, something happens between six-year-old Armand and Jon. The parents are called in for a meeting, but the school management doesn’t really know what took place. Was it just a children’s game or something much more serious? The incident between the two boys triggers a series of events, forcing parents and school staff into a captivating battle – where madness, desire and obsession arise.
Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel
Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel studied directing at Westerdals School of Arts. He made his debut with the short film, Bird Hearts (2015), which premiered at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and won the Golden Chair Award at the Grimstad Short Film Festival in 2016. It was nominated for an Amanda Award, and was selected on Cineuropa’s list of the best European short films that year. His debut feature, Armand, starring Renate Reinsve and Ellen Dorrit Petersen, had its World Premiere in Un Certain Regard in Cannes.
