An essay on an unplanned city, Dhaka, from the point of view of an off-screen architect. Travelling from the loud city to the silence of the village, he meets people, incidents and landscapes. The film is a meditation on the nostalgia for the rural past and on finding home in the urbanised present.
Mehedi Mostafa
Born in Bangladesh, Mehedi Mostafa studied architecture in Dhaka before attending film school at Whistling Woods International. His short documentary Fantasy in a Concrete Jungle (2023) was selected for competitions at festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Fribourg, and Encounters. He has also attended DocEdge Kolkata and the Locarno South Asia Industry Academy.
