Indian indie films have been an integral component of DIFF since its inception in 2012, and we continue to keep a finger firmly on the pulse of this exciting movement. In this panel discussion, we welcome a new crop of indie filmmakers from across the country and give them the opportunity to take stock of the nation’s contemporary independent scene.
Producer Tanaji Dasgupta (The Hungry) will be talking to Konkona Sen Sharma from Calcutta (A Death in the Gunj), Rima Das from Assam (Village Rockstars), Pushpendra Singh from Rajasthan (Ashwathamma), Karma Takapa from Sikkim (Ralang Road), Bornila Chatterjee from Calcutta (The Hungry) and the Ektara Collective from Madhya Pradesh (Turup).
