CHARTING TROUBLED WATERS
- October 24, 2017
Five independent filmmakers from five very different countries—Yaniv Berman from Israel, Mano Khalil from Switzerland, Dain Iskander Said from Malaysia, Lijo Jose Pellisery from India and Yoshinori Sato from Japan—share one thing in common: their films chart disturbing trends within the fabric of their societies. In a rare confluence of such diverse talent, the directors will discuss their individual works and journeys, and attempt to gather together their common threads. Film writer and critic Aseem Chhabra will moderate what promises to be a fascinating exchange about cinema, politics and culture.
