SYNOPSIS

This short drama follows the story of a Bhutanese woman, Pema, over more than half a century from infancy to adulthood. The film is divided into four chapters, each representing a season at a different point in Pema’s life, with themes including cross-border trade, the threat of war, technological advance and environmental damage.

    Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk

    Bhutanese actor and filmmaker Jamtsho Wangchuk played the young Dalai Lama in the Hollywood film Seven Years in Tibet (1997). His directorial works include the feature Gyalsey: Legacy of a Prince (2011) and the short Of Gods and Arrows (2015).
