Sakhisona tells the story of a mound near Mogulmari in West Bengal and the nearby dig which recently uncovered the remains of a monastery and relics dating back to the 6th century. The artefacts are featured in the documentary alongside re-enactments of Sakhisona’s folklore and folk songs performed by local musicians.
