Kaki is a 60-year- old widow who lives with her Nepali maid, Malti. One afternoon, when a flower blossoms on Kaki’s balcony, Malti unexpectedly meets a sailor boy from her home town. Meanwhile, the spraying of mosquito repellent in a passageway gives Kaki bad dreams.
Hailing from Mumbai, Payal Kapadia is currently studying film direction at the Film and Television Institute of India. She has previously directed the short The Last Mango Before the Monsoon (2014).
