SYNOPSIS

Having secured residency in rural Denmark, Sayid—a refugee doctor from Syria—prepares to establish a new life with his son Adnan. But as Adnan quickly adjusts to Danish language and culture, Sayid struggles to retain his status as family patriarch.

    Sylvia Le Fanu

    Sylvia le Fanu was born in London in 1990 and moved to Denmark in 1993. In 2017 she directed an episode of the TV series Meena. Abu Adnan was produced as her mid-term project at the Norwegian Film School.
